The Great Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu is the only surviving monument of the Seven Wonders of the World, and is located in the Giza pyramids in Egypt, which are registered within the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  The construction of the pyramid dates back to about the year 2560 BC, when it was built as a tomb for the fourth dynasty pharaoh Khufu, and its construction continued for a period of 20 years.  The construction of the Great Pyramid is a major cultural shift in the history of ancient Egypt, and Khufu was influenced by his father, King Senefru, in building his pyramid;  After his death, Khufu became the ruling god on earth, and it became necessary for him to think about building his tomb, which is the first national project in ancient Egypt, which was jointly built by professional workers from all over Egypt.  The Great Pyramid, with its original height of 148 meters, remained the highest building that humans had ever completed on Earth over a period of 3,800 years.

الهرم الأكبر أو هرم خوفو هو الأثر الوحيد الباقي من عجائب الدنيا السبع، ويقع بمنطقة أهرام الجيزة في مصر المسجلة ضمن مواقع اليونيسكو للتراث العالمي. يعود بناء الهرم إلى نحو سنة 2560 قبل الميلاد حيث شيد كمقبرة لفرعون الأسرة الرابعة خوفو واستمر بناؤه لفترة 20 عامًا. يعد بناء الهرم الأكبر نقلة حضارية كبرى في تاريخ مصر القديم، وقد تأثر خوفو بأبيه الملك سنفرو في بناء هرمه؛ فبعد موته، أصبح خوفو الإله الحاكم على الأرض، وأصبح من الضروري أن يفكر في بناء مقبرته والتي تعد المشروع القومي الأول في مصر القديمة، الذي اشترك في بنائه عمال محترفون من جميع أنحاء مصر. وظل الهرم الأكبر بارتفاعه الأصلي الذي كان يصل إلى 148 متر أعلى بناء أتمه الإنسان على الأرض على مدى 3800 سنة.
